I was wondering if anyone has had the same issue.

I have a 2011 s3 8p. and for a while now it keeps going into limp mode with the epc flashing one I turn it on and off its goes back to normal.
This only happens under load so basically when I put my foot down but only does it every so often.
My mate has read it and it says misfire cylinder 2 code p0302 then cylinder disabling code p130a.
I've changed the plugs and coil packs and still no change still always misfire cylinder 2.

Any help would be appreciated

You need to get your injectors checked - the longer you leave it the more at risk you are of a piston going (the ring landing).

I have changed them from bosch coils even though there wasn't anything wrong with the old ones. I swapped the spark plug from cylinder 2 to cylinder 1 and same with the coil hoping that the misfire would then be cylinder 1 but it was still misfire on cylinder 2 so I've eliminated the coil pack and plugs.

Injectors are next on the list to check.

Depending on where you are in the country, companys like Rtech or AKS can test and clean your injectors. Absolutely first class service. If you take the Car rather than sending them in the post it would be worth having the inlet valves walnut blasted to clean off the carbon. The carbon is unlikely to be causing the misfire but it will help the breathing, depending on mileage of course.
An injector that is not adding enough fuel can lead to piston damage.

Only even seems to do it when some muppet in a focus st wants a race and then leaves me for **** cos I'm limping

Looking definitely like an injector problem , i had the same problem as you did and after all different tests done on car it was a failed injector and they cost a pretty price . Rtech can look at it iirc its £25 or £50 per injector but it doesn't always fix your problem .

Before you spend money, remove the spark plug and coil pack from cyl 2, clamp the body of the plug to the engine, start engine and check for a steady stream of sparks. You could also use a battery jump lead to do this as it has nice big crocodile clips.
Other than that it’s injector test.

It seems I had a dodgy injector all is well now. But I am now going to get a stage 2+ map for it and wondering if I will need different injectors and if so what ones?

You only need uprated injectors if you are going hybrid turbo or bigger.

You will need an RS4 fuel pressure valve if you are going to stage 2+
