If it were me I would try a spot repair. Quite time consuming, and needs careful work. Carefully de rust the chip with a pick and something like Jenolite, then a tiny dab of primer, applied with the tip of an artist’s paint brush, followed by a wipe of spot filler, then top coat built up in layers until just above the level of the original paint. When fully cured, light spot sand with very fine wet and dry, then finish with single coat of clear lacquer and polish when cured. Key is to keep the repair localised on the chip, and not let it spread into a large patch. Helps to stick some masking tape with a suitably sized hole over the chipped area.
Or if this is all too much, or you don’t have the materials and somewhere dry to work, call up one of the Chips Away” type companies!
