Hi all I have a audi s3 2.0tfsi

Recently just mapped at r tech stage 3 tte420

I was advised my ac condensor was clogged and to either remove or get a new one. Also my intercooler and exhaust dont have the best flow (peron intercooler & milltek TBE)

Now I've gone and removed the ac condensor and fitted a new Wagner intercooler

Once I drove it feels good when on boost but lower down it's really sluggish

Is this normal and need to go back for a map tweak ?

Plugged it into vagcom and I dont have any fault codes.

U mean the charge pipe that comes off from the turbo?

Yep - on the drivers side where the pipe goes into the IC. I think it’s like a bayonet fitting, and this oring seals it. It’s quite a common issue (damaging the oring), causes all charge to escape and can be difficult to diagnose. Worth a check nonetheless.

Also, with the IC you may feel like there less power or torque - I’m not sure if there is but you do have more volume to fill (the larger ic) so its possible...

Ah I know the one your talking about I've upgraded mine to the cts pipe so do you think that would have it too the o ring?.

The green O ring sits on the aluminium joining piece provided by Wagner. The joining piece sits in your new cts pipe and will be held in place by the C clip. I bought a new one when I fitted mine.
I would have the map tweak after fitting the exhaust if you are going to do that as well.
This is what the GFB DV+ is designed to fix by only letting off enough boost and not all the boost in the case of the oem valve. Some people do not like the GFB and their have been reports of them sticking. I presume you have a G revision, just check the diaphragm has not developed a little split.

Thanks for the reply yes running revision g I mean the car boosts perfectly fine its the delay I get if I rev from idle.

Where did u get the o ring from ebay or is there someone that holds them in stock.

I bought the O ring from Audi.
I think it would be interesting if you know someone with a DV+ That you could borrow to see if there is a difference in lag.

My experience with the GFB has been excellent. I think most of the problems have been with copies from Ebay. Just buy from a reputable dealer.
There was a guy on here who bought one from ebay for £45...which says it all really.

I had a clogged stock IC and fitted an Wagner and got an instant 30 bhp extra with no map update. I cant believe R-tech would have mapped your car to suit a faulty IC so i doubt the map is going to be the problem. If the IC is all you changed then i agree with Sam you have a boost leak but not sure why that is only affecting it off turbo.
Maps can often move the power curve and such around , its possible your system is now running correctly for the map which has given you a lot more at the top and less at the bottom so the contrast between on/off turbo is greater.

Just an update on the car

Turned out to be the green o ring seal

All sorted now

Car feels amazing with the wagner

Thanks for the help guys
