Rear Indicators Flashing with DRLs VCDS Coding?

Hi, just hoping to see if anyone has the coding for this? An example of it in use is here:



I've had a look around and on a couple of websites to no avail, hoping someone can point me in the direction, possibly @DJAlix ? I've already found the coding for the fronts to be like this but can't find anything for the rears!

wow they look pretty rubbish mate! sure you want to do this? also, front ones doing the same? so you will be flashing he normal lights and indicators?

Want to make it my own and have something very few people have it. Front ones doing the same as in:

If you are in the uk that’s an MOT fail I believe.

I would have to work out the coding as it’s not on my “menu” of standard offerings due to it not being road legal.

Ah right fair enough. Is there some kind of arrangement we can come to? Not a problem if you don't feel comfortable with it

The same occurred to me as soon as I read the post. Why would you want to drive around in an illegal vehicle.
OK, you could switch it back before an MOT, but you could get caught out in an accident. Then you could well find yourself uninsured. I agree it would be a relatively low risk of getting caught, but the outcome coukd be serious.

The chance of getting caught would be incredibly minute. If I somehow get pulled over for it then I would just plead ignorance. If I got in an accident and for whatever reason I had them on, I would probably just get rid of them and as soon as. Plus, I just stick it at 60 going to and from work so it's not like I'm pushing my luck everyday

Just paint a massive penis on the bonnet. It’ll look better than those rubbish indicators and you’ll still “have something very few people have”

...and your taste in car modding tends to improve as well.

Any idea if it's an MOT fail with the hatchback variant? Haven't been pulled over, and have driven around plenty of coppers. If so, better change it back..

Edit: Nevermind, just realised this flashes with the DRLs, not the actual two indicator lights.. Pretty sure just the indicators is legal, this:

Would be illegal regardless of car variant. The above is known as pace car indicators on VCDS.

That looks awful too. I’m all for modding, but I just don’t understand this obsession folk have at the moment for making their lights look as if they’re malfunctioning.

I think there’s a lot of folk will look back in a year or so and realise how rubbish their car actually looked with this.

Reminds me of those old bangers you see driving around with damaged wiring causing random rear lights to go off when they brake or indicate.

Well hopefully my manners don't end up as ****** disgusting as yours as I get older. Fck me. What actually possessed you to write something like that on here? Are your final few brain cells spluttering thoughts together that are making you realise that maybe getting a brand new 450hp car for British roads was a pretty pathetic idea and causing you to lash out on others? Don't have anything nice to say, then fck off. Too many people like you on here. Couldn't care less what you or anyone else thinks, it's my car and if I want to do it then I damn well will. Don't have anything nice to say or can't help, then leave. And the people liking your comments, just goes to show how poor this community is when disgusting rudeness is cheered

This is not your own private Q&A website. It is a forum. Look up the definition of that word. Myself and everyone else on this site are perfectly entitled to express our opinions on your ill-advised ideas whether positive or negative.

Maybe you should try and be a little less sensitive and develop a sense of humour.

"Pleading for advice" please, by all means, quote anything that I've said that constitutes as 'pleading'. "Just hoping", "by any chance", don't know about you but they don't have the same ring as "please I need help" or "desperate for this" etc. Alright it is illegal but why does it concern you? Are you part of the Gestapo? And if that confuses you, then I think I was right in what I was saying in my previous reply. Fair enough if I wanted to use the brake lights as the indicators, I could see how that could be confusing but that? Good god man get a grip. And once again, couldn't care what anyone else thinks. My car and I'll do what I want with it that makes me happiest and appreciate it the most.

Yes, it is indeed a forum, but this is a thread that I have created with a specific question. Please, again, give me examples to back up you saying that I believe this to be my own 'personal Q&A website'. At no point did I ever say anything on the lines of "what are your thoughts on this", "what are the legalities about this". Threads, such as this, work by posing a question and having that question answered so that other people in the future, who may also have the question, can quickly and easily search for it, find this specific thread and find the answer. Definitely not some old biddie's pathetic, pointless and disgustingly rude comments.

And well if it's ill-advised in your eyes, why would I care? I didn't ask for your opinion on it so why go out of your way and be rude about the whole thing? It's fine if you can't help me, I don't mind, but to utterly rude and slightly off-topic about it is just awful.
