Hello everyone,

First of all i would like to know if you can code a delay on the outside tail light, so it looks like the same as the video i have linked to.

If not. I record that €100 is to much for 2 plugs and 4 small cables. My questions is. Is there any of you guys who know how to create these adapters on your own and maybe tell me how?

I hope someone out there who can assist me

They look just as pointless as the actual "dynamic" indicators that Audi put on some cars.

Forgive me, but to me at least, they look cr*p and serve no real purpose.

Hi

You can't code this but need a plug and play module most installers supply, there are various ones and do not differ from one company to another.

Are your rear tail lights currently LED ones?

This mine just after the install.

Yea my tail light also look like yours, but i searching for the knowledge to know how i made these myself :)

KenL, We all have different taske and meanings :)

Yea but i dont wanna buy new headlight for that or pull my taillight appart just to fit a modul in there :)

To me these semi-dynamic indicators look like a car with faulty electrics. My car has dynamic (rear) indicators and to be honest I don't really see the point. I can't see them anyway!

Looks like the car has a short, get the real lights or don't bother (my opinion)

I like the look of the proper ones though, so other people can go "oooohhhhh they are cool" when they see your car ;)

But yeah the ones in this thread look odd.

With the Matrix lighting option you also get dynamic indicators on the front.

You’ve got me there. Whilst I wouldn’t pay extra specifically for dynamic indicators I wouldn’t swap them for standard! I must like them at least a bit.

Are the genuine plug in wiring modules over £400. I’ve seen these ones retro fitted and operate like the OEM dynamic indicators.

Are you referring to the FL LED tail lights because these are fully dynamic and to get a whole set of clusters cost more than £400 but like @DJAlix said you will need to put some reflectors on your PFL bumper to pass an MOT test. If you only have PFL LED tail lights like mine (see post above) then you can get some 3rd party aftermarket plug and play modules that work without any coding.

No one Who can tell me how i can make these on my own ?

Regards

Well the modules are just relay switches and doesn't look over complicated but you need to do some reverse engineering to 'make some of your own' GL

No I’m referring to making the PFL indicators dynamic with these plug in modules. I think a place over in Germany sells them for about 430euros. The plug in line with the oem wiring loom then I think they need to be coded in, may be wrong on the coding though.

Someone makes them and then it gets rebranded more or less but this is the one I know of in the UK which sells them

These are mine / around 90 euro if i remember right - its not really worth the hassle making them yourself unless you can really really be bothered to save a few quid. Very happy with mine

Doe anybody know if they have them for the FL sedan? I can't seem to find them.

Krille, now this is my opinion but I would say that it’s not worth the headache of sourcing all the parts needed plug and socket modules part numbers, various colour coded cables, no doubt an electronic module to pulse the led indicators etc etc etc. But if you really are set on doing this then fair play and good luck.

You don't need to make anything. It can be done via VCDS
No plugs or cables or anything else needed.
Just do a search on these forums. Has been covered before :thumbs up:

Hmm str You sure because I know there is something about Dunkelphase but that’s not what I want unless you change the sequence

@DJAlix X did mine with VCDS coding. Works if you have LED rear light clusters.

Just my thoughts on this guys, the genuine dynamic indicators have a smoothness from the moment the first one comes on to the last one going off. Those modules to me throw the first bank of led lights on altogether then light up the second set. There doesn’t seem a lot of flow like he genuine ones.

Just thought I would throw some "retrofit" and "modding" scene terminology in to the mix:

Pace Car Lights - Coding (often referred to as Semi-Dynamic) :

Semi-Dynamic Turn Signals - Hardware:

Dynamic Turn Signals - OEM Factory (Retrofit to a pre-facelift RS3):

If you want them to be semi dynamic like in this video

then yes 100% can be done via VCDS

Any chance of the code, I'm sure I did this on my 2012 facelift A5 sportback and want to do it on my 2014 SB A5...

Yeah but at about £1000 or there abouts its the only option

Why not use OBDELEVEN as long as you have led tail lights , there is an app to change them " Dynamic LED turn signal. commonly known as urban joke. I have done this to my 2015 s3 and looks pretty much like what you are looking for , no smooth flow but delays the second side of the light.

The coding can only set the lights to flash alternately. Modules delay the outer cluster in order to create a semi dynamic effect. two very different things the latter of which looks much better and won't be an MOT fail in the UK.
