My dipped/headlights, first drive home in the dark this year & i remembered i should have done something about them last year, don't want to spend a fortune just some improvement.
Suggestions welcome.

Might be worth swapping the bulbs or fitting a HID kit... the purists will say XEON's or whatever the OEM type was but I think they're really overpriced. To be honest I've seen allot of improvements just by fitting new bulbs, I usually put better one's in but I don't think a brand makes all that much difference to be fair.

Having a projector at the front of the car would be a good way to watch TV whilst driving, just watch it on the car in front and project it on the road when they move.

Maybe just a replacement of the bulbs would be a big help. Try our site sponsor @t8ups I’m sure he be able to help you out with what you need.

I got some OSRAM nightbreaker lasers off Amazon for £15ish - (prices always varying on amazon).

When I got my car the high beam bulbs were great but the one's with lenses over a bit meh - when one went I went with the OSRAM's and there are a massive improvement - now tbh a £5 set of bulbs might also of been a huge improvement but I decided to get the best I could find.

Interesting - I have to say I'm happy with them vs what I had before.
I got them for their colour temperature mainly as I wanted a much closer to white light and saw others were closer to the white/blue range (white is just my preference).
I'll note the others for future replacements and I think whatever's in my 924 will need replacing with something from this decade.

I don't think any of the 100%+ bulbs are white @ 3700K , a std bulb is 3200-3300K yellow .

I had some Night Breaker Plus that yellowed off with very little use , at first I was happy with them against the Ozzy 4000K LED sidelights , but then they yellow whereas the LED Kelvin remains consistent .

Consider them white... they'll only go one way .

Which bulbs were blue white ?

Just swap the headlights for some S4 ones or genuine B6 ( not cabby) xenon units, you can then just do a simple wiring mod on the plug so you can use your original manual bulb levellers as I’m sure you’re aware xenons have auto beam levelling.

Off on a tangent here but you want a poor headlight, I was out a little later than expected on my 1963 lambretta on Sunday and once the light faded you then realised I may aswell have a candle up front. :chuncky:

The Ring 130s arrived this morning so lunch time i thought ten minuet job to change the bulbs out, WRONG.
I took out the near side light & removed the bulbs, opened the blister pack with the bulbs in & layed it on top of the engine cover, turned round to have a slurp of my cuppa & a gust of wind blew the blister pack across the engine cover & down the side of the engine, as it went the bulbs fell out & disappeared under the engine & lay in the under belly, so my ten minuet job turned into an hour.
Outcome though is lights are much much better.
