Hi,
I previously had 2x 55W 12V bulbs in my 2009 Sportback A3. Earlier yesterday, one of them went for whatever reason. They have been in there a while and were overall decent bulbs.
Today, I have no other 55W 12V bulb to replace it however I do have 2x 100W 12V bulbs which are the same H7 bulbs (Not HID's or anything, just standard halogen).
I've looked around and apparently using 100W can burn out the circuit and all sorts of things - has anyone here got 100W bulbs in their standard headlight unit (halogen only), not HID's or anything? My A3 has the DRL's as standard but they are yellow and not the new LED ones.
Please let me know if this is a bad choice or not?
Many thanks!
