Hey guys and girls! Its that question everybody asks, who's got a good deal on their insurance?

Basically I'm hopefully picking up my A4 Avant 2.0Tdi 170 tonight. I'm currently insured with brentacre and paying monthly it comes to a total of £574 but they want an extra £354 for the audi!

I only renewed last week so i'm still within the cooling off period, i'm 23 with 5 years no claims on this car and 1 year on another car. To me that seems really expensive! Who are people insured with and what are you prices with ages and that?

Also they won't temporary insure me as it's more powerful and i'm looking at £67 for a day just to get it home!
 
I would try the comparison sites for a new quote and see what you come up with.
If you find a better deal then phone to cancel the one you have they will ask you why so tell them you never know they might do a better price.
I don't have any problems as i am an old fart lol with SAGA i paid the renewal on my bmw yesterday fully comp protected for me and her £131.48 for the year.
 
£280 for me and the wife fully comp b7a4 tdi cab and a new merc b class sport and i too am old
 
I've just turned 24 with 5 years no claims and it's £390 on my BMW 118d and £402 on my S1.

I'd definitely be shopping around!

Also, the interest on insurance monthly payments is ridiculous, if you need to pay monthly get a 0% credit card for 12+ months and pay on that.
 
Just renewed mine with my current insurer its £375.24 for one payment or by monthly its 1 payment of £35.21 then 11 payments of £35.20 = £422.41 and I get chip repairs, legal cover, European cover, windscreen cover, personal accident cover and courtesy car all free, that's with Chaucer direct too and I have 4 years no claims and I'm 24
 
Hmm, think i'll be ringing around today to see what i can get elsewhere. £920 in total is a lot! It was £574 in total to insure my ibiza 1.9Tdi pd100. Now they want £350 more so might ring greenlight!
 
Did you try them, there direct numver is great none of this bullscrap press 1 for this 2 for this and 3 for the other you het straight to someone
 
Not yet, i was working away on the car last night, got a leaky brake vacuum pipe and a suspected oil leak from somewhere! Going to ring around at dinner and see what i can find, then ring brentacre and may have to cancel. @jdp1962 thanks for the info, i shall be trying them too!
 
So far i'm with brentacre on my Ibiza @£574 in total paying monthly, wanting to charge £350 for the year extra to swap to the Audi totalling £924 for the year.

Sky came back at £10 cheaper for annual policy at £910 but were over 1k for monthly.
Adrian Flux are pathetic at quoting me, always £300-400 more than anyone else.
Waiting on greenlight to get back to me with an online quote. Need to check out prestige keep moving and waiting on a call from Chris Knotts.
 
Never tried them as i couldn't find a modified policy bit with them. Ended up paying £360 with brentacre to swap it over.
 
Yeah, think it comes to £960 in total. Only got it on the road last night and starting with the modifications tonight!
