Myself and a friend fitted a set of new Weitec coilovers to my avant over the weekend.

Just wondering if the rear springs take a while to settle? - the fronts are adjusted halfway and have tucked the tire into the arch quite nicely.
I have adjusted the rear twice, the tip of the tyre is just inside the arch, but cant seem to get it any lower for some reason!

They are the correct coilovers for the weight of the car (avant, 2.5tdi)

Any advice appreciated!
Thanks.

Have you any pics?

Springs will settle slightly is your quattro if not are the springs rated for quattro slightly heavier?

Think some coilovers are like that heard a few people take the adjusters out to get that extra bit lower so its just like a normal coil spring at the rear, how bad of a job was it hopefully getting some coilys soon

Yeah, the springs are rated for a Quattro Avant with the correct weight.

Intesting fact about the removal of the spring perch at the rear - mine have a few threads left so will wind them all the way and see how it looks.

Fronts were easy, the hardest part was the removal of the rear spring, I have heard that some people lower the subframe slowly, I had abit of a bodge (and dangerous) method, levering the arm down and attaching spring compressors - then pulling them out with a crow bar!... I don't recommend it - I wanted to get it done though as it was 4am at the time!

I will upload some pictures tomorrow once its been washed!

Few quick pictures from my phone after winding the rears down as far as they go on the spring perches. Going to leave them like this as I think its just right, don't want them to scrape with weight in the car or on country roads (Front wing being replaced in a few weeks!).

Looks great.

You have it sitting about the same as mine on Apex springs and B5 perches

That looks awesome mate - a real vision of what mine 'could' look like with few quid spent..

Are they 19's? They look HUGE

The car looks spot on mate, loving it! And loving the audi badge removal on the boot. Usually I prefer them kept on, but you might have swayed me there! Although mine doesn't have a votex, so my *** isn't as sexy!

I dropped the rear subframe slightly on my rears and the springs almost fell out, no compressors used. But, it's done now. How's the ride?

Very very cool, makes me really want to slam mine on the 19s now!
have u got spacers going on there two. Or wide offset?

Wow, thanks for all the great comments! - wasn't expecting that.

Yes the wheels are 19" replicas - was thinking about a set of replica BBS LM wheels but think it suits the RS6's better now its abit lower.

No spacers on the car, unsure of the offset but will check next time I have the wheels off.

Hi m8

How is the right on those coil overs?

What size rubber have got on those 19's

My AP coilovers were exactly the same, I have them as low as possible on the back and it was still a little too high but they have settled down with time. I'm still thinking about removing the adjusters to get that extra 5mm drop.

looks sick mate. When I dropped my last car on Weitecs I had to have to bump stop cut down so it could go low enough.
