I have a 2016 A4 B9 Avant, I've used Audi Extended Warranty for the last 3 years. You should just be able to put your reg in a get a quote, I pay around £40 a month for full component cover.

Funnily enough we did swap out the motor this weekend as the washer was blocked, We found no evidence that the motor had been leaking or been causing any issues. not so say there isnt an issue with the hose somewhere further up the pipe ... but the sheer volume of water that collects in the...

Edit: As I say the water isnt getting into the actual boot interior, so water isn't getting past the boot seal - just into the actual metal work of the tailgate.

Personally I think you've answered your own questions ... if your not a petrol head and your worried about MPG and Servicing costs I'm guessing an S4 isnt the ideal choice :D Saying that I have zero concept of the MPG a S4 makes, I have an Avant Quattro 190 TDI and it gets amazing MPG when on...

Another A4 Avant (S Line 2.0 TDI) owner here, and thought I'd add my 2 cents as the Dad to a 3 Year old ... I've had my A4 Avant since just before my little one was born, me and the Mrs do lots of camping and outdoors'y things up and down the country, as recently as our January Winter trip up...

Possibly an issue with your rear wiper washer? Is that working properly?

Thanks all for the comments, Unfortunately I dont have a rear facing camera and I'm kind of out of ideas. Got the car booked in at the dealer on Thursday to see if it can be sorted under my 'All Component' Extended warranty, no doubt they'll say it's not covered or some $h1T .. but worth a go...
