Thanks for the info. I did have a look in the manual but wasn't sure if it meant the alarm was active or not with the door switch on. All clear now though!

I have had my a3 for only a couple of weeks and was wondering how you know that the interior alarm is on. I'm aware that the button to enable/disable is in the drivers side door but is it on when the button lights up or off?
