What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

I did a sticky write up this a while back it’s disappeared of the B7 forum, I’ll track it down.

It’s so annoying, i know where it is but just can’t engage brain with the location.

I have it, found my old write up and this is the part you need Rob.
It’s under the dash drivers side and you need to put a 10 amp in.

Looking around the web, people seem to suggest it’s F5 lumbar support fuse which would make sense… fingers crossed!

Yep that sounds familiar, should be a block of fuses under steering column cov

The old barge is home! I've missed driving it, was good to be behind the wheel of a B7 again!

Chuffed to bits with the result. The wings no longer have rusty lips, and the repainted bumper has come out perfect, all the little dings and stone chips are gone, and the paint match is 100%.

Thanks Rob! Nigel will be coming over on Wednesday to de tango the lights, and do some more work on the xenon conversion. The more I look at the amber indicators, the more I dislike them  Think it will make a good difference. I'm going to try and get around to ceramic coating the paint this weekend if the weather holds, been on my to-do list for a while.

The clear corner update is such a small mod but makes such a big impact , it really does knock years off the look of the B7 platform.
A real shame it wasnt offered from the start of production .

That's a lot of oil James, surely your engine doesn't need that much.....

£96 ,10 litres of oil ,oil filter ,sump plug and washer and the air filter ,quite decent I thought

wowcher, that makes my little old 2.0tfsi look quite frugal oil service wise.

I like ovals but they need to be just right as the s4 valance outlet is angled a bit off centre so they need to be slash cut both ways to look really good.
Quads suffer the same unless you use oem s4 back boxes, which is doable but the tips look a bit like pee shooters, well , personal choice comes into play again.

Do you mean slash cut from one side to the other and from top to bottom ,like a compound mitre cut ie cut on a mitre and a bevel

I like both these

indeed, mitre cut two ways.
sideways are always going to be more than top to bottom.

ovals look good but quads are more in keeping with valance apertures in my view.

there was a company in cyprus that did a massive range of tips etc and top quality aswell, sadly they dont send to the uk now .

something to keep in mind is that when using the S4 valance is that the cutout is not central with the tail pipe.
so if you have a single outlet from the back box it will not be in the middle of the cutout as it would be with the single round s-line valances.
It will be like this.

depending on what back box you have of course.

the valance has a very defined curve which means ideally you need a custom set to really blend in or something close.
S4 back box swaps work or aftermarket back boxes but than can work out costly.
Weld-on or other means of fitting with tips can be just as good but is finding something that really fits in with the shape.
Mine are not ideal by a long way but i'm fine with them.
from the pic you can see how much an angle they need to be if you want a flush fit left to right.

this was my original design until i found my current ones.
I do plan to go back to plan "A" below at some point as they are amuch better layout and fit.
