S7 failed engine possibly due to oil strainer

Hey guys hope someone can shed some light.
S7 engine failure could this be due to the oil strainer recall? If so would Audi be liable for new engine or turbos? I know the car has a recall about the oil strainer. I’m just wondering because it’s happened to others before would the engine have failed because of the oil strainer.

What are the symptoms of the engine failure?

Not sure yet as I’m looking to buy it. All the seller said is engine failure will try and see if I can get more information but the recall date was 26th August and it broke down before that.
