Under warranty or are they bending you over again?Parts ordered and work will be carried out tomorrow...
Well as long as you've had it serviced on time then you have, even using an indie with genuine parts it's still fsh.Now the dealer is asking me if I've got FSH!!! They messed up the repair!
Correct, sent the paperwork over and it's obviously been approved as work is being carried out tomorrowWell as long as you've had it serviced on time then you have, even using an indie with genuine parts it's still fsh.
Some good news at lastCorrect, sent the paperwork over and it's obviously been approved as work is being carried out tomorrow

Apparently the car is ready
Typical - health check paperwork indicates oil level at 25% with a cross next to it but wasn't mentioned to me when I picked the car up. It was at 100% at the first health check when it came in for the rear diff and the car hasn't even covered 100 miles since then! So they've clearly drained the oil somewhat and not replaced it...
And also the brake pads have gone down 20% since then too!
Is it all good now?I checked it with slightly warm oil (around 60 C) and it did come up around the 25% mark on the dipstick, so I've shoved approx. half a litre in and will check it later, should be OK
They have taken a bit of oil out of every car they have in and share it around services.... One less expense for them hahaoil could be when and who checked it. If it was checked right after it was driven then the dipstick could read high. Could even be uneven ground.
Brake pads is subjective. They stick a camera between alloys and have a quick look and guess the percentage. Gone are the days when they take wheel off and clean brakes during a service.
I also could be talking **** and they’ve been ragging your car to death and launching it to make sure everything is working.
wtf turning into a right nightmare this! And also the brake pads have gone down 20% since then too!
Nah should be fine, I spoke to my colleague (original owner from new) and she says she thinks the car is still on the original rear pads!wtf turning into a right nightmare this!
Engine's not lumpy any more or cutting out so seems good! Will check oil this morningIs it all good now?
Yep, the guy sounded like a top man so I'm not surprised they do the job properly. Main dealer charges an arm and a leg and doesn't even do a proper job. Paperwork said complimentary wash and vacuum included but it was in the same state it was a month ago when it was towed over!
...Mine went in for the coolant check light on, couldn't find anything...
If you can get under the front of the car and remove the under-tray, it's definitely worth checking this isn't a leaking pump/thermostat. I had exactly the same response when I took mine in. This was after noticing my coolant dropping. Had a couple of weeks of warranty left, so thought I'd get it checked and sorted before that expired. Wasn't my usual dealer, was only in for an MOT - "nothing to worry about, and we've topped it up for you"
Skip forward 9 months, the cars up on a lift and I see the tell-tale signs of dry coolant on the front edge of the oil pan. Took it into my usual dealer with this extra info and they confirmed a leak in the thermostat regulator housing. Clearly this was the case back in March and it just wasn't checked properly, or at all.
... - Hasn't moved since I topped it up
Ah ok, great. Good to have a friend like that. Nice one!
FWIW - The level on mine hadn't moved in the 9 months since they topped it up. So it was a super slow leak. I also didn't have the coolant smell that others have identified.
I had one of those after my service price match argument with them. Was quite nice being able to give them the lowest possible score!LOL I got an automated survey email from Audi, gave them a piece of my mind!!!
Thanks but that's the Haldex, I had that done. It's the rear differential that had the issue, that's next to the Haldex in the same unit.https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1190931307677254&id=288732564563804&__tn__=*s*s-R
