Headlight error 02071

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with the headlights on my A3 8p.

I have the following error from OBDeleven data log

02071 - Local data bus No signal/communication static

The auto levelling & corner assist have stopped working. Looking at live data the front and rear height sensors are reading vehicle levels.

These have been retrofitted.

Any idea where the headlight control module would've been located? Or should I direct my attention to the headlight motors?

2005, ironically its your old blue A3 8p. Should I check the wiring at the headlights first, can you remember where the control module is?

Bus error from nowhere, that's very bizarre as not in many years since they were fitted have I ever had any issue with the headlights.

Module is fitted as per factory, above left knee to left of steering column behind under steering column trim, to the right of the stereo.

Have you steam cleaned or jet washed the engine bay at all.

Wiring should be perfectly ok.

Wow, you're good. Now you mention it I did have the engine bay cleaned a few weeks ago.

I'll have a look for the module and check the headlight connectors.

Despite this little issue the car is awesome. You did an amazing job putting it together.

Water in connectors I reckon.

I never steam or wash the bay's for that very reason.

I doubt its the module, check headlight connections for water ingress.
