Facelift Bag Hook Under Parcel Shelf

Hi All, I found this picture of an A3 sportback boot on an old thread on here and wondered if anyone had this bag hook on the bottom of their parcel shelf - also, can it be retro-fitted? I remember having these on my A6 and they are really useful - the ones at the side of the RS3 boot are not very good in comparison.

Couldn’t agree more with you - had them in my S3 - waste of space - looked so flimsy I daren’t use them! Bought the RS3 saloon to get a decent ‘curry hook’ back in my life

No worries... yeah I'd never seen these type of hooks in a sportback before - always a saloon, so when I saw this picture I was surprised and wondered if these could be retro-fitted to a standard parcel shelf or if there was something specific about that parcel shelf... be interested to find a part number for the shelf if that is the case.

Looks to me like an afterthought.

You could order the hook from Audi, then fix it to your parcel shelf but you’d have self tappers on the other side of the shelf...

I think that picture is off an 8P A3 sportback, and said parcel shelf netting and hook were part of the storage pack at the time, maybe it's not available for the 8V. Anyway...I've ordered a hook of fleabay and I'll see how best to install once it arrives. Will post back with install pics.

Just thought I'd report back on what I did... I got hold of an Audi hook on fleabay and installed by screwing to the back of the rear seats... some pics:

Thanks Phil, yeah I'm really pleased with the results, positioned where it is it doesn't interfere with the parcel shelf at all, and it doesn't cause any major obstruction when the seats are down flat. I just had to drill some pilot holes for the self tappers in the rear seat backs and it went on pretty easy.

These look identical to the one i sell to A4 A6 owners but they are only listed for RS3 saloons.....

Weather it is part that fits but isn't listed "fitting"

That's strange - I can see them using a browser on a computer... are you on a computer or viewing via Tapatalk? They don't seem to appear on the app for some reason!
