Facelift Advice on next car

V spoke Alloys add so much to this car. Here's a quick one. Bedford Audi selling a great Sepang car. Says it has the 20" v spoke titanium alloys. As per sport pack. But have a look...something not right with these.

They 'look' like V spoke rims but they look polished and I'd say 19" too. Gut says they even look aftermarket. because they're definitely not Titanium 20" V spokes.

Here are proper V spokes for reference:

Just check they aren't referring to the pad wear. Ideally you need disc thickness to assess total brake wear.
Very good spec. Is it a facelift model?

Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Yup it's a 64 plate. Happy with that. Got keyless start too which wasn't even advertised so I'm well happy with that. I'll ask for brake disc thickness too. They were done by the owner already. But I'll double check. Especially the rears

Do I need to pay for that? You can spot the absolute PCP Lifestlyer stepping back into used after 6 years can't you?

The video. Arrrrr yes. The video. It has her face on it so not sure she'd like that to be shared on here. It's a toughy though as you'd all 150% appreciate all content

I think wires are being crossed haha. That pic is from a different car. That was at Bedford Audi. That sold. Out of my budget. Similar though.

Have you seen it?

Only from your pictures but I am not sure what reg it is. Unless I missed that.
Haven't seen an interior picture to spot the give away larger shift paddles.

No collection until NEXT weekend. But they're trying to get it ready for Wednesday. Selling car this Friday so that's a bit of a ******. Adopting the waiting position...'now'.

You asked for a cold start with the Milltek.

This goes cold start to valves closed then dynamic.

Does this link work for anyone else?

Barely (none in fact that I can see) resonated B8 clips on YouTube. If you could do some more clips and driving in cabin etc that would be fantastic.

So. I'm gonna be first World poor for a little while. Miltek on hold haha. I've seen some big interest in PCW Exhaust mods on the forum. May go that route in the interim.

However, collecting the car and probably first couple of months, on top of the life lesson I've learned with my S4 valve controls, can somebody tell me whether the below is just the same mod, done differently?

Thank you in advance.

Or,

Because...the top method makes infinitely more sense haha. But why didn't the guys on the bottom method do this? I've no doubt that I'm missing something. As usual.

Cheers.

And he's the guru. So, the video walk through I posted...I dunno. I mean, it makes sense just to unplug it. It's in the boot. It's dry. But, could put up unwanted faults maybe.

The last clean. Always a sad affair. Second time I've taken my old girl back to Poole. Long drive. Think I'm gonna miss this car ya know. We never truly gelled. Never any real chemistry there. But, as a thing. As a tool...so much respect for this car.

I wonder whether I'll be able to chuck the RS4 about as much as I could this. I doubt it ya know. But it's all about the theatre and I just couldn't get it from her. You'll be missed, Ingrid.

It is always sad getting rid of any car and as you say the S4 is a very good car, just maybe lacks 'soul'.
I think you will soon get used to the older technology and I find the RS4 quite chuckable!

Oh the tekkers DOES NOT bother me one iota RS4 I had for a loan a few years had no DRC so I think I'll get used to it pretty quick. Just got to adjust for weight. S4 is pretty great with sports diff but it's the tell tale body roll it can't hide.

Counting the days now.

Very noticeable weight but shorter than S4. Can't hide 150kg like haha.

25mm shorter and nearly 15mm shorter wheelbase than S4. Previous chassis though. Cars always get bigger.

I've got the video they sent for me. It's in the prep shop now. They're pushing for Wednesday but could be longer. I'll go test the car for any unusual knocking, gearbox jerkiness etc. Engine tick over. Just to see if anything is off with it. But I'm buying the brute!

A fairly standard way to buy a car from a main dealer. I did the same a few years ago with Huddersfield Audi. They had the car I had been looking for, I left a £500 deposit that was refundable if the car wasn't as described. Got the train and drove it home.
Have they got to do much prep?
I know you said the tyres were quite new and the brakes were ok, anything else?
Have you had the service history print out, are the invoices with the car?

The girl is back in tomorrow. I'll be pushing to have all the invoices and itemised service reports from main dealer and specialist independent. They're changing all diff oils and S Tronic box oil. Front diff got done at 20k apparently and is obviously due again now (44k at present). Rear diff at 40k but getting done now.

I want to double check DRC history. In short, im not driving away until I have guarantee in writing of full repair/replacement for all major service schedule items under warranty. I think there's always going to be 'some' unknowns with a used car but the interior does look absolutely immaculate (impressive considering its white) and the boss there says he knows the previous owner very well and was meticulous.

So. Just after the meat on these bones. I don't rush. I'll literally ask for an hour to myself with a coffee to look through all paperwork and warranty.

Both front shocks on mine were replaced by the previous owner at about 10k miles. He reckons they knocked quite badly.
They have been fine since and now on 31k miles.
You will get a full years warranty so that will help with peace of mind.
I took the extended warranty last year and it was £1350 for all component cover, up to 15k miles with a £250 excess. Did not use it and this year I have just renewed it with exactly the same cover and it was £710, figure that one out. (Not that I am complaining)
On the mileage it's on all the oils should have been done at about 38k miles. That is quite a big service at about £1000-£1200. I think it should have the sunroof service too.
Did you check on the link I quoted a while back over on RS246? I think you found it anyway.
It has a very good specification there is not much missing.
