Yes mate, it just can’t put the power down. My M3 has 527bhp and 720nm and it doesn’t hook up until 3rd/4th Gear normally and by that time the RS3 is gone
Tell him to get some Mps4s or AD08R

Spoke to my Revo dude today and he said that my car was at the lowest setting as it's on Momentum and to give it a couple of tanks of V Power after which he'll up it to the top setting which will make it pull harder ...I can understand the s3 keeping pace if your car was standard but if you are mapped then something is not right.
But then people expect the difference between a 380 and 480 car to be massive on the road, its not. Not until you get to some silly speeds anyway
After reading the posts on here and other forums I chose Momentum as it seemed to be the preferable fuel but apparently, Revo recommend V Power for whatever reason so that's what I'll try.Momentum and V power are the same rating thought aren’t they? Surely not going to really make any difference?
Why would they do that, IF they are?I’d agree with monopole here... that’s a poor excuse from them really! The difference between the two fuels will be extremely minimal! Ive a feeling they’re just fobbing you off here mate
No question it would have been a bit surpriseing to have had that with the S3, but blaming the fuel when they are the same rating is nonsense
So going off that, if you’re out in a long run somewhere and need to fill up and there’s no chill garages around... you have to ‘make do’ with momentum... will it be safe to drive the cars after he’s put it up to the ‘top setting?!’

...I’d just like to say I’m by no means an expert on this, and I’ve never used REVO before, but I’ve modified and tuned my previous 3 performance cars and I’ve never heard this excuse from any of my tuners before. REVO maps may just be very sensitive to fuels, but I still find it odd but as said, you’re only going of what’s been fed back to you mate, so hopefully you get the desired outcome soon
I said something like that today.
When I'm running the 2 tanks of V Power on the low setting, would it be an issue and was told it wouldn't.
I know penetrator uses Momentum and his is making 482 bhp so I am wondering wtf is going on....
Maybe an S3 stage 2 is a proper animal but I thought an RS3 stage 1 would pull harder from low speeds, I think, as mentioned, it will go eventually but you'd be tramming along then...
My car is fast, no doubt about that, I was just surprised that it didn't pull on the S3..
Do you know what setting yours is at bud?Momentum user here and no issues at all!
Do you know what setting yours is at bud?
Do you know what setting yours is at bud?
How do you change the maps? Do you have a handset... or need to head back to the dealer?
Looking at that must be set to the 95 map I’m guessing mate? You’ll need to have it changed to 98 when you can you’d hopefully notice a bit of difference with that done
No chance. Revo would have it set t0 the 98 map.Looking at that must be set to the 95 map I’m guessing mate? You’ll need to have it changed to 98 when you can you’d hopefully notice a bit of difference with that done
I gotta say, honestly, why on earth would revo let him drive away on a tuned 95 Ron map, why? If they did, then he asked for it. These cars are tuned stock for 98.
And why is this still going, I though he was happy and said thread done, this thread is like watching a moth spend 8 hours a night smashing it's face into a light bulb for Christ's sake
I was just looking at vbox numbers I saw while ago on stage 2 HO mk7R and very impressive.
0-60 in 3.1
0-100 in 7.4
62-124 in 8.6
That's no slouch at all. Hence why min difference in normal driving speeds. Top end power will be where your RS3 would pull away. I agree though in this case if the s3 had upgraded IC in summer that would be huge advantage.
Hahahahahahahaha....
HE didn't ask for anything, HE told Revo what fuel HE used and got the car back....and the S3 has an oe intercooler, hence 381 bhp.
HE is happy with the tune but was surprised by the S3 and the thread is still going on cos people want to have their say. As for moths, turn the light off chook...
Yep, today hopefully..So your going to get it back to them for a check of the map then mate?

A mapped Rs3 FL would be in the 7s for 62-124 so the difference should be fairly large, I would bin the revo map and go down the APR or MRC route
Bud, I'm a construction manager not a bank manager!
The car is fine, it goes well as it is so I'll not be going elsewhere as Revo have a good reputation .. for now .
