Best wax for a flat paint

Well l am gonna ditch waxing the car, so that unopened R222 concours wax is redundant, l know for a fact ultimate finish do a 10% off after the new year, so l am gonna go large with the Kamikaze myabi clear coat plus over coat, l am also researching back plates and pads 3/6 inch sizes and polishes for the rotary polisher l got for my birthday
Going to take up this machine polishing thing as wee hobby lol
Is the Kamikaze product more like a ceramic coating? Good to hear that there will 10% discount in January as opposed to the 7.5% on at the minute.....I need to get a few Gtechniq products.

It's a ceramic coating mate, last year l fell for the 7-5% discount just after Xmas, then in there January sale they offered 10% plus free delivery, l get 7-5% automatically just now from them because of my obsession buying expensive crap..... Think l am £400 odd quid away from the top tier discount they offer to account customers

Yeah turned up a few days after I posted (3 weeks from ordering) not had chance to use it yet. I’m guessing it was just back logged because of the sale

Wow, you do like to buy a bit of detailing gear! Lol. Do they e-mail this deal to you, or is there a code?

I think I'm about £400 odd quid away from getting onto the 5% discount tier!

By email mate, spent a fortune lately but most of the buying went on the Sepang car, would'nt buy cloths or a mitt off them again as what they offer are too expensive and more importantly they don't have the quality, for cloths and mitts l have found another mob who come highly recommended in2detailing.co.uk,so l am about buy some kit from them ie cloths etc

When you say flat paint what do you mean ? if its a new car ? or do you mean it a flat colour paint like Nardo ? Best and quickest I have used and like lots at tge moment is Optimum Opti Seal. You just wipe it on like you would a coating, tgen just leave it. Its the easiest thing ever to apply and the bottle lasts forever. A very often forgotten product that us excellent.

Yeah Nardo is a flat paint ie non metallic/pearlescent.. By a recommendation l did buy a very good wax and that was the R222 concours wax but l have decided not to go down the wax route l think

R222 is great but does not last long. But looks lovely when applied. Opti Seal can also be used on all surfaces too including all the glass and plastic and it beads like a coating. Its great on the window rubbers too and gets rid of all tge watermarks after washing.

I use Swissvax seal feed on the rubbers, awesome kit that is lasts for months and one bottle lasts for years,

I have it too but opti seal does the whole car and just saves so much time which Im assuming is what the op originally wanted as a stop gap ?
