Facelift Jassy's Discussion/Build/Wait Voodoo Blue S3 Saloon Thread

Well busy at work and to cut a long story short it's a BIG NO..... as soon as he mentioned the £600 a month mark even with a £10k dipper on a £51k car l said forget it..... Don't think he was even remotely willing to sell me one..... Lol

Naw ye haven't have you R....

I have mate - was the best deal at the end of the day and something a bit different.

Think if I got another S3 six months later I’d be bored of the power and handling so back to square one much like yourself the RS3 is a better match for you mate - put 3k of paint and paint protection into one of them.

Stick to the S3 Jassy, at those numbers the RS3 just doesn't make sense!

Sanity rules the day.....the boyish glee on cold start up would soon fade . I understand the will I or won't I debate, as I went through the same thing of cancelling my S3 order for an R3 and to be very honest I am glad I stuck with the S3, but, that cold start up and unique engine sound makes me pause some days.

Just to add some 'balance' Jassy ...

Just be 100% sure you are committed to the S3 still before you do take delivery and there is no going back.

It is still a very expensive car - with many many options @ £'s - so yes a highly desireable car and I have no doubt it will be stunning- but just be sure in your mind it still feels right.

If it does, great you can put this wobble to bed and get on with looking forward to the voodoo pup again :)

Friggin hell @jassyo06 I go out last nite for a few beers and a curry and the whole world gets turned upside down!!!!!

i will turn down the light under the kettle for that collection day cuppa shall I ????

Can understand wanting to get the last big car purchase right, me I am waiting a couple of years before I buy that stupid money mid life crisis Porsche

Btw was a cracking blue M4 in the hotel car park this week but would still prefer the TTS or a Porsche, RS3 does not do it for me

Interesting!
Puts the prices of the likes of the RS3 in perspective when you see the alternatives as a comparison.
What's the feedback on these cars with a 2 litre engine in them?
No idea mate, just looked them up for comparison :)

Jassy changes his mind as much as me lol. I'm on 16,600 miles in 2 years and 5 months, most trips in and around town, I should just downsize and get either the new Polo GTi or the new Fiesta ST when it comes out....cheap to buy, cheap to run, but still some fun on a country road.

Me too mate, this is my 7th. I'd. bite your arm off for an RS3 but with my mileage couldn't justify it, the S3 is a good happy medium.

My friend has an M4 and it's a ****** monster. Guess they aren't really comparable, rear wheel drive coupe v lunatic hatch back. Definitely be happy with either, the price for the RS3 makes my eyes water though.

This will be my third Audi and I'm 20 haha.
Yeah I totally understand the RS3 not being justifiable with your mileage, I don't like doing excessive 'pointless' miles in mine.

The BMW's are pretty basic from the off, they can be real expensive.

Ouch mate large chunk of cash each month guess the difference maker is the discount offered on both cars. Was the 51k RS specced up or just the essentials?

I'm not the highest put it that way, few of us have been up there. My S3 monthly is eye watering because I'm on 10.9% interest, another bonus of changing. My monthly is still more, but I'm paying less in interest.
