Hi People,
I've been 'tinkering' around with the information centre on my A3 Sportback 2010.I've now got 'service due' light coming on at ignition and the spanner staying on.The car is not due and was fine till I started to mess about, I've tried the 'pull the toggle switch etc' but no joy
Help please

Get a vcds check and clear it. Check the vcds map for someone near you, someone will do it for a few beer tokens.

Thanks-Surely by me messing about to see 'whats what' I ve caused that problem-I've sent a message to a member near to me. I hope he replies soon

It's probably just a coincidence that it has come on. Does your car have any service history at all ? if yes then it's possible the service indicator wasn't reset when it was done. On the newer cars the indicator is only possible to reset using VCDS. Also if you do have service history run it back to who ever did it and ask for the indicator to be reset.

yes it has a great service history but car was bought a long way from where I live now. I'm going to contact my garage and ask them to reset it. I'm surprised it let ME do it.
Thanks for replying though
