BW 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50

I'm booked in at 11am, just sorting the train from preston and the insurance...
Great pre Xmas present!

Finally.....
Coventry Audi just confirmed my bw47 s3 sb has arrived. Picking up at the earliest, but that is still 22nd dec.
It's going to be a long two weeks!
Collecting it 10 days before 2015 could seriously effect the value of your S3 IMHO. Just a thought ...

Unless of course it a company car, then who cares :D

I'm in the 'life's too short' team on this one.... The sooner the better, I'll think selling price when the time comes.

Sold the evoque after 17 months, didn't even depreciate the cost of vat. Doubt the s3 will do that but the orangewheels discount will help towards it.

I'm also off for two weeks over Xmas so a train ride and a 100 or so mile drive home should be fun.

I sort of agree, but I'm carless at the moment as I sold mine about 6 weeks ago. Getting to the desperation point now. I've asked them what the earliest January date would be once they sorted out the paperwork - I expect it won't be the 5th! So then it's another working week (9th) / or two at worst (16th). If they could guarantee the 5th Jan then I'd probably do that...just waiting for a call back.

They've also just rung to offer delivery next week via transporter for £150.

Decisions decisions...

I thought a delivery charge was included in the OTR price as mentioned at the back of the brochure. Say you get it delivered to place of your choosing.

I ordered through orangewheels which is the fleet side of Coventry Audi.
Price was to pick up from there, delivery to my house is £150.

Need to decide, kids are off, would need a lift to preston train station, good two hours each way, sounding simpler to deliver to me.

Yes but not on a transporter - they'll drive it to you which many don't want, myself included.

Can't remember what BW I am, just emailed the dealer asking for what my BW is and any updates...

When I ordered in Oct - I got an EST delivery for 28 January.. so would anyone know what BW I am? I'm 50 something, maybe actually 50... what BW are we at the moment?

We're at BW50 today :D Which I'm expecting to be a mid January delivery. The factory is closed next week for 2 weeks, so chances are you are this week then. Hopefully your dealer will respond with good news.

Oh we are? God I hope i'm BW50... i'll find out tomorrow when she replies

I ordered thro' Carwow, Coventry Audi being the supplying dealer

Coventry Audi say they deliver for free on a trailer if you are over 100 miles away or a driven delivery under 100 miles, for free also

Personally, I would rather wait, till March if necessary, than let one of their 'professional' drivers deliver my car

Plenty of factual horror stories about the abilities of the 'professional' delivery driver

I've had delivery before, it was on the back of a trailer so no problems there. It was quiet cool having it droped off at work. But you don't get a hand over and I wouldn't like to imagine the hassle if there was a problem, at least you might get it sorted there and then at the dealers.

Just got the email back,

Apparently my car has been built and is in it's final checks before dispatch and i'm expected to be collecting at early January.

I'm over the moon with this, but if I hadn't of emailed her I wouldn't of known, I didn't even know my car was in build as I was expecting a later build week

These dealers! I've reminded her that £4,500 for my SEAT is not where I want to be and i've only done 300 miles in it since October so if they lower the price the deal is off (bluffing obviously)

Picking mine up on the 19th. Got to wait a bit for the tracker installation. Can have it on the 18th but it would be late in the say so have booked the Friday off work for an early collection and nice drive. I feel a bit like an excited kid at Christmas!

You're lucky J4MMYz, I'm still waiting on news from my dealer. Finding it very difficult to fight the urge to call him, I'll wait until Friday if I've not heard anything by then.

My build week was this monday and for some reason they've already built the car and waiting for it to leave the factory to be shipped here in mid-late January....
noooooooooo that's too early, I was hoping late Feb so I can pick up in March!!!

Surely you can pick up whenever you want. Mine was always going to be mid January but i originally asked for them to keep it till March and they were fine with that. I've since decided to just take it when it's here as i miss having my own car.

Si :)

I can, I just didn't want my car sitting around in their back yard for too long

Can't be good for things like car battery, rotors rusting etc if not driven in a while

Just pick it up liquid fusion! U won't be able to wait knowing it's there and like u say it won't be great for the car sitting especially in this cold weather. If your keeping the car for a while 3 months won't make that much of a difference when selling it! Enjoy it and have a good start to the year!!

haha don't worry I have the patience of a saint!
If it gets delivered in end of Jan, it only makes sense to pick it up in March.

I was just hoping it wouldn't of been built so early as when I originally ordered it delivery was around mid Feb.

Haha fair enough!

It makes sense to wait if it's the end of Jan / Feb.

Fair play to you because I couldn't wait haha

I have had no news since I was told my car was being built 1st December.

No news here either, but TBH I'm not chasing the supplying Dealer because of my circumstances

Not too worried about it standing in the compound for 8 weeks or so

I emailed Ben on Monday and he replied today, I emailed him only because his previous email says they would contact me when they had a fixed build week, which I never got that email

Otherwise I would of just left it and waited till March

We may yet meet LF ;) :thumbs up:

Dealers are all around annoying to get in touch with, I sent an email back afterwards requesting when to come down for the appraisal and had nothing back, I doubt i'll have a response.

The thing what really grinds my gears is when they say they'll ring you back, and they don't.

I remember my dad rang up about buying a new Land Rover Freelander 2 that was advertised at 25,000 and the dealer said he would ring him back, my dad waited all day so the next morning dad rang the bloke up and said you just lost out of selling a 25,000 car and put the phone down, he hasn't bothered looking since but still wants one. That'll teach that dealer to ring back next time!

I've also had a **** time with our SEAT garage (currently own an Ibiza) who are the most god awful **** stain of a garage, I got a full service with them and they only changed the oil - and I knew because I check if everything has been done afterwards. The massive give away was that it only had oil change on the receipt for 230 quid! hah. They've done some repair work too, one was under warranty - it took them 3 months to replace my blown speakers (bought the car like that before anyone says anything :p) then the other times they've damaged my car, top mount was replaced and scratched my wing up, the idiots who wash the car pulled my wiper up on my bonnet and took the paint off it... thats why I'm not letting Audi wash my car when it goes in for anything, it will be washed before it goes in by me and if not I'll tell them don't wash it. Too many bad experiences.

Well Chaps/Chapettes,

I took delivery of my Sepang S3 Saloon yesterday in a very wet & windy Belfast (it was BW47). All I can say is wow!!! The performance in lethal - it will probably get even quicker after 1-2k miles. I will get a few pics taken and updated to Picture Thread, I have remove those stupid wee stickers, get my tunes sorted and also change my number plate - Swansea do seem very slow.....

Whoever is waiting for for one, Bristle, Liquid, Nawaid, etc - you are going to be very impressed, I would deffo get asap or Jan - why wait? esp if no 2nd car and you need one. We had to get ours asap as our Z4 was very impractical at Xmas time with a baby (as you can imagine), I have been walking plenty since selling the A4.

Got a few wee freebies on the day - Audi Keyrings (although have a nice new S one) , Ashtray ,(no smoking pack), massive bunch of flowers, cherished reg transfer discounted last minute (even though they have to register it twice and I have paid when plate was purchased) and latest cable for iphone 6 - which is black? (when I get phone in a few months) but happy enough at the discount I got originally - carwow good for negotiating.

Some nice little touches which I will add later if anyone is interested.......

Ciao

haha you can't tempt me!! :p
I have a 2nd car (wife's toyota yaris) which gets me from A to B but by no means quick lol

Mine won't get delivered till end of Jan I reckon so may as well wait an extra 4 weeks for a new and shiny plate :) (yes i'm a snob, and I don't care about the resale value either haha)

Lucky ******!! 8 more days for me! It's getting worse the waiting!!!

Sorry Jonny, forgot about you. Your spec very similar to mine - what a car, for the money - built quality inside & out and that power is amazing, the noise is something else.

I went for std brake colour and SS Seats and kept the badges - all the rest is identical. Must have good taste :racer:

I will get pics up when weather improves........

Haha we do have good taste! I fancied the red callipers for a change and love the SSS but really wanted alacantara again so couldn't choose it!

Glad your enjoying it mate, so pleased you mentioned sound as I really have been in two minds on how good it will be. I've heard both postive and negative with it.

Looking forward to the pics!!

Nice one Si :cool::cool::cool:

We're using the wife's MINI John Cooper Works, since I sold my A4 back end of October, which if I'm being honest I'm quite enjoying using. Goes like a rocket! :undwech:

Gotta to have pics of your S3 Si, even if its dirty mate! :thumbs up:

My dealer just emailed to say it's still showing as not been built yet, first time he's emailed without me prompting! Is it normal for them to start the build this late in the week? I'm praying it gets done tomorrow.

I guess they could have started the build, it just hasn't been completed yet? I assume the dealer only knows when it's been completed and not started?
