Do you get an e-mail telling you when your car is being built? Mine is BW41 but haven't heard a sausage off the dealer since I ordered on the 31st Aug.

I rang Audi Customer Services 0800 699888 and I also emailed my dealer. The latter has responded to all my queries but hasn't provided any updates without me asking for them first!
I don't want to stir things Andrew but floor mats are standard with the S-Line and they should supply at least one AMI cable - I got 3 FOC from my dealer. So he isn't giving much in compensation!

I've ordered through Orange Wheels / Coventry Audi and I got a cut and paste email every week saying my build week is 6th Oct (41) but not locked, Now the big week is upon us they've gone all quiet, typical.

The closer it gets, the more painful it is having to wait. I really am desperate to get my hands on it...
It beggers belief in this day and age that I can track a £5 parcel from Amazon but I can't get information from Audi where my £35k car is.

I requested one update from my dealer a while ago to see if my car had a build date and since then they've notified me of its locked in build date and also it's arrival at Emden. I haven't had to chase them.
I was initially expecting the car in early December but its built and on its way, I'm now hoping I can get my private plate on retention in time for the S3 coming.

Just spoken to Audi CS and mine is at stage 4 (paint) of 8. So it looks like it was started early, at this rate I should have it before the end of october, fingers crossed.
Blimey, I didn't know that they could track it to that level of detail!!
I may have to ring up hourly for a progress report

Are you build week 41? I am too but was told on Monday to expect the car last week of October or first week of November. Weird...
Yes I'm 41, but when I rang Audi customer services yesterday I was told it was quite far into production, so maybe I just got lucky. Personally I don't think ill see it till the end of Oct.
I have been given my VIN number by the dealer today which presumably means that my car does finally exist! I have registered with My Audi and the spec looks correct (apart from the fact that I did not ask for model deletion) but it does not tell me where the car currently is, when it is being shipped etc. I thought that the website did provide such information but I must have been mistaken. Is the only way of finding out via either the dealer or Audi CS?

Any1 had dealings with aberdeen? I email them and sometimes don't get a reply for a week or 2! Might sound daft but what do you have to quote to audi CS to find out how far on my car is? Reference numbers? Or order number? Thanks

I'm out of here......but the wrong direction. Wk42 went to 43 fairly early on and is now Wk45. Very annoying when everyone on this forum with an S3 on order seems to be getting bumped up, not down. Not happy that this has only come to light when I chased an unanswered email.
Yeah, just quote your order number and ask for updates. Shouldn't have any problems.
OK, my car (BW41) is now sitting at Emden awaiting it's ferry over to the UK. Audi CS cannot confirm when this will happen and warned that I may have to wait until mid-November before I get my hands on it

My dealer said realistically it should be by the last week of the month. It would be a squeeze to get it by the end of next week.
He did say he should have better information in the next few days.
I plan to take delivery the first week of Nov as I can then get a full month of road tax

Keep me updated, please, I have heard nothing whatsoever from my dealer and it's a pain having to keep ringing up Audi CS!

No problem. This is why I've recommended my dealer over in the which dealer thread. I get updated when there's news to tell.
It's not that my dealer knows I'm impatient and therefore keeps me informed, I'm far from it. I've never been desperate to get my cars asap. They come when they come, but my dealer will ensure they get it quickly once it hits the UK and under their control.
Lucky you! The only reason that I am impatient is because I am without a car until the A3 arrives...

I've heard nothing and my BW 40 has been and gone!! Was originally given 15th November delivery date!! So on course I suppose...Haven't pestered the dealer much! Keep getting told 'the best things are worth waiting for'!!!
Im out, cancelled it. I have had a text from my dealer today to say that my car is still sitting at Emden. She probably cannot even say herself when it will be loaded onto a ferry and shipped over as I guess it all depends on how big the queue is. It's frustrating not knowing and I find myself checking this forum daily to see if anyone else has heard anything with regards to their own cars.
It's a pity that Audi do not offer an update service via email or SMS to keep customers informed. I believe that VW do which is somewhat gauling!
I take it that no one else in this BW section is any the wiser in terms of anticipated delivery dates for their cars?

I would think discodeek is not in the UK. If he is I think 3-4 weeks isn't correct.
Once it lands in the UK you can get a car in a few days. One day transport, one day PDI, next day on your drive.
Remain positive!
VW do offer an online tracker and email and SMS, but it's completely rubbish and wrong most of the time!
I'm in Scotland mate -but my ordering dealer is Sheffield Audi - fingers crossed mate it's sooner !
