There's a bit of a difference.Forgot to say I only have an S-Line 170TDI í ½í¸¢
£311 from Tesco's for me (32) and the wife (28) .. Result!
£900 from Admiral for myself (21) and my girlfriend (23) on my RS3!
Im astounded they even quoted you being under 25.
Two of my friends (same age as me) are with admiral, one with a 2009 R35 GTR and the other with a 700bhp Stage 3 APR TTRS (mods declared), and they pay similar prices. They like an up front payment but if you want to pay monthly I would have had to pay over 2k?!
I thought I'd shop around for Insurance this time, even spoke to Adrian Flux, but they wanted £1300, in the end Admiral came up with £580 so i stayed with them.
Surprising how all the so called "Specialist" insurers always seem to be more expensive
Hi.
With Insurance, it's always tricky with this sort of thing.
'Specialist' Insurers, are Brokers (like ourselves) who have access to a wide range of Underwriters; many of those Underwriters will offer specialist cover and policies for classic/modified/high-performance cars etc.
However, it is worth mentioning that almost everything with Insurance is down to claim-statistics, and that depending on your details and the vehicle etc, Brokers are not always able to get a quotation from all of their specialist companies.
One piece of advise I would ALWAYS give is to call insurers for this type of car. I'm sure you may have, but it is worth spending those few extra minutes every renewal to do this. Mainly because there are very few Specialist Underwriters that will quote for Brokers on the Comparison sites. On them you will simply get the 'standard car markets' quoting a lot of the time.
Brokers like ourselves arealways looking to be competitive. When your polciy is due again you are welcome to PM me or drop us a line (if you want to, of course) and we will endeavour to compete with any quotes you have obtained (or have already).
Many thanks,
Dan
Adrian Flux.
Its not a "tricky thing" its the same car, driving history and postcode for whatever insurance company anyone uses for a quote the long and short of it you were too expensive over double in fact [£720] the same scenario as what happened when Vito asked yourselves for a quote and when i got a quote off yourselves when i had my RS3,you are just not competitive and don't want to insure RS3's at a reasonable price.
