Good Morning Guys,

I was a member a couple of a years ago and signed up again today, I brough my A3 1.4T from new 2 years ago and have recently found myself getting really quite bored of it as expected with a car with such low capacity and power. (I am only 21 bear in mind)

The question i have is in regards to the Forge Induction Kit for the Gold 1.4TSI

As per the image below:

As you will see to the left of the main pipe to the induction housing is a smaller hose. On the Forge Induction there is no tip for this to be placed once fitted....Could i remove this pip completely ? If i do not have it fitted to the new pipe will i receive any errors in the dash ?

If i do in fact need this pipe to be fitted does anyone know a simple solution (Other than not fitting the induction full stop)

Thanks in advance - Much appreciated.

Thanks Sandra, The only thing im really not too sure about is as per the image i posted above the small thin hose that sits next to the main pipe, There is no valve for this to slot into so i dont know where it would go or if i could just remove it full stop ?

I would have to consult the diagrams, but that could be a secondary air pump supply pipe, usually with aftermarket cai's you just plum a small filter over the end of the pipe & let it suck in air in the bay, did the same for my S3 8L with a BMC CDA.

I would contact Forge as they're usually very good at this if you advise of the issue at hand.

Thanks again Sandra, I think what i may have to do is instead of buy the kit for the golf, buy the kit for the scirroco and cut the elbow pip just before the bend so it is straight that way i get the small tip for the other pip like so:

Thanks also Nate i will shoot them an email and see what they can suggest! Cheers

To avoid creating another thread and as i know you are a specialist when it comes to this kind of thing, I am also going to be lowering using the 50mm H&R Springs (On S-Line Suspension) but i also want to space my wheels out 15mm Do you think i will encounter any rubbing ?

Thanks again

Give Damian@dpm a shout, he knows the best options for these things, think it was either 10/12 or 10/15, cant recall right now.

Dont cut anything etc until spoken with Forge :)

Any technology upgrades, give me a shout :)
