So over the weekend I replaced oil pickup. I sealed sump and rebuilt. Filled with new oil 3.5L.
I have been running the car and it appears there are no issues, however I have just moved the car at lunch and it looks like there is oil all over the floor where I was parked. I checked oil level with the dipstick and that showed no oil. I did change the housing for the dip stick at the same time, so it could be a case of the housing not sitting far enough down..
My question is, is there any kind of sensor that would tell me if the oil was low, other than the dipstick?
The engine sounds fine and I get the OK when starting the car and no alarms while driving.
It's not an S3 so it doesn't have the sensor under the sump, what ever that does..
Cheers,
