2.0T FSI rough start up and misfire for first 2 seconds ???

Hi

Am having an issue with my Audi A3 2.0T FSI 2006, recently it started to have rough start up and misfire that lasts only a sec or two, then after no issues and runs like a dream!
I got no fault codes on ecu, also vehicle had full service with new spark plugs and coils by Audi but still doing the same thing.
Any one knows a reason for that?

I read Clarkson's review of the A5 2.0 TFSI and he mentioned the Audi TFSI engines sounding like diesels. He also really, really didn't like the car, in particular the start-stop tech.

So maybe it is normal? Don't know yet as I haven't got my 1.8 yet. I can't remember the test drive car sounding rough, or having any problems with start-stop for that matter.

right same problem here...

replaced the following: starter motor, battery, n80 valve, coil packs and spark plugs... and it is a bit better but still doing this some days...

I think they all do this, mine does. I just ignore it.

just weird as i never had this prob before from new and at 68k miles its started all of a sudden... oh well... no fault code no idea.

Intake and valve carbon deposits.

Gets worse. -then it all has to be cleaned. -forget misting chemicals in, or RedEx or SeaFoam, or B+G... you ave to take off the intake manifold, soak the deposits in solvent and suck out the nasty soup. -Repeat. -Also the airflow separator plates get carboned up... lots of nasty pics floating about on the web.

Mine started doing it at about 63,000 miles. Got worse, started running slightly rough, then started throwing codes, then under accelleration it would buck like a mule.

$1400 worth of cleaning and injector replacement later, it was as smooth as warm butter again.
