Will you be joining V8 on the AMG forums ?

Nope. Had an AMG a couple of years back. As good as it was I don't want another.
I'm going to hang around here a while longer.

Any clues as to what light you're referring to? ;)

1. Why are you drinking tea (it's 6pm on a Fri here so alcohol only)
2. Don't encourage him
Was 7am here, can't sit down at my desk 'til I've got a brew! And I'm T-Total so that rules your alternative out ;)

Wish there was... things with the Mrs. would be so much easier! ;)

The bulb you need is a W5W 501 LED, easy to get hold of (the ones in the picture are from halfords, but I've taken them out as they gave a 'spotlight' effect, ordered a bunch off eBay last night)

A good explanation for fitting is here, courtesy of @AndyB-S3 (he helped me when I did mine)

I have just carried out the upgrade and found the centre reading light a pain, maybe because I attempted it in the dark 1st time round and with a little guidance from Trups managed to figure it out and 2nd time round literally a few minutes and it was done.

I took some pics and thought would share a little how to if cool. See below..

The rears were exceptionally easy, and just a case of popping the cover off and replacing the bulbs for LED's. Again the vanity lights were easier too, when you pull the visor down as you are looking at it there is a small spring clip on the left hand side of unit. Pop a wee thin flat had in there and the lens will just pop off and then replace bulbs.

I am still to do the glove box but will leave it for time being and do it on weekend when I get my next spare minute...

Sorry that this has been covered in the posts above but I thought it may help having some pictures. :)

I've found the Halfords ones to give off a very thin beam, leaving a very visible circle of light on the bulb cover..
I've swapped them back out for one like this with components on the sides too

Edit: I know you can't see the circle in the picture, but believe me you can in person!

Afraid not. Still on economy mode I'm afraid (although went too far with my last A3)
Manual, diesel, 184hp.
£6k discount.

First impressions are very good. Love the outside. Love the inside. Love the kit.
