Yes. You've bought a performance car - trying to be a bit more efficient on the fuel isn't going to save you that much in your wallet. I only ever use efficiency on long motorway drives. Day to day I'm wither in auto or comfort with a big of sport mode on the gear box when required.

It will be different between modes. Or at least will respond differently. For example drive in efficiency and go full throttle… it will take longer to react to it but will eventually put some effort in but it also moves up the gears quicker as it really wants to be in 7th to optimise fuel...

That's true - but ultimately they are different gearboxes. Perhaps it's due to Quattro whereas all but the newest M-series are RWD... either way just enjoy the car!

Driving in Dynamic may speed the shifts (or more accurately make the auto shift levels more aggressive) but there isn't any other control over it. I think the S Tronic gearbox is one of the best out there, the changes are always smooth and I don't normally even notice them unless putting my foot...

I think the pricing of the service plans are down to the engine size. < 2 litres or > 2 litres. I believe this is the same across all Audi models. So the price for a S3 is the same as the A3. But the RS3 will fall into the higher category.

One question I did have which maybe someone knows the answer to, on the Advanced Key, I was reading that Audi and other brands have started to put 'motion technology' in the remote keys so they stop emitting the signal needed to unlock the car if there is no motion in a certain period of time...

I think it was at least a couple of months to get a build week. Ordered the car back in March - got built by the end of September. Originally mine was due to be build towards the end of July but there was a parts delay so had a extra 4-6 week wait.

Just had the phone call from my dealership... car has been delivered to them this morning and confirmed pickup for Friday morning :D Got the VIN number and added it to myAudi to check the spec - all looks correct from what I can see so far. Just have some paperwork to clear today and tomorrow...

Just got a call this morning to say my new S3 Saloon Vorsprung is now in the UK this morning. I got the "on the ship" email on Wednesday and had been tracking the ship - it was at anchor off the coast of Sheerness all day yesterday. I assume the high winds from the storm prevented it docking...

Just got the fyi my build was confirmed complete on 30th Sept and only just got shipped yesterday. It’s stuck on a ship waiting to get into Sheerness today

Can I asked what date you got your build complete email? Mine came on 30th September but haven't had anything else since. I have a provisional pick up date this Friday (back up next Tuesday 31st) but I don't think that will happen.

So originally order went in first half of March this year. At the time of ordering they were quoting mid-to-end September. Things were looking good as I got a build email on July 11th. After that it got a bit de-railed as it wasn't until September 30th I got the build complete. I believe that...
