Evening all,
I question for those in the know really on the subject matter of xenon kits.
Posting here as I suspect it may be a kit that is fitted to numerous cars etc.
I'm working through a shed load of issues with an MK1 TT I acquired a while back ready for its MOT.
Checking the headlamps I noticed the nearside sidelight bulb was out, had a rummage and found an aftermarket xenon ballast tucked away on both sides.
The connector was pretty furred up so gave it clean, still no change.
I assume the sidelights are nothing to do with the xenon kits so it most likely the bulb or a wiring issue.
Looking back at the previous MOT the nearside side light seems to be an ongoing point of failure.
Is there any chance of a common connection with the kits or is that just are herring?
Also are these kits any good on the scale of aftermarket xenon kits, worth keeping it or ripping out and going back to HID?
