Wrong oil?

Was driving along motorway and car decided oil was at min level so pulled into service station. They never had any 5w30 so I used 0w30 instead (20 quid a litre! )
Probably nothing to worry about but I'd like to be sure I ain't going to ****** the engine by driving onwards!

If u are worried just do a full oil change

if you mean the oil warning light came on i'd be checking oil level, which you should be doing regularly anyway. 1 litre may not be enough.

don't rely on oil warning light for deciding when to top up!

Just means it's not as viscous in cold temperatures.
