Wrong cup holders

I was looking at the cup holders near the arm rest and it don't look right.

The lid don't seem to open far enough and it sounds like its hitting something. Its also to far forward so removing the cup holders is a real pain.


When I removed the cup holders the bit below the holders looks like a normal cuppy hold, not what I'd expect.


The cup holders also had some securing tabs that should go in to something but there is nothing for it to go in to, this all makes me think the cup holders are not meant for this console.



Can anyone confirm this?

Cup holder insert should be part number 4E2 862 553 A 4PK it should have one there

I just find it odd that the cup holder has clips to secure down but there's no holes for it.

The lid not opening all the way is the more worrying part to be honest.

Someone may have fitted (ordered) the wrong insert, there is one for the front and one for the back.

I got one in the arm rest and rear heater controls.

I need to take my console up and find out why that lid is not opening all the way and hunt down this tracker.

Yer, the rear center console can be extended, but I think it was only an option on the long wheel base.

I've seen them.
Rare though and expensive I bet.
Along with the electric folding trays on the back of the seats. lol

what was the conclusion? was it just in the wrong way around?
It looks like the correct one to me

It was the correct one.

I striped the holder out, cleaned it all up and found the holes that the cup holders clip in to.
