Question is would you convert your non S3 backend into a retrofit S3 with quad pipes if you were given the opportunity?

Personally ......no.chance.
I don't even like the quad pipes on the S3.
I think two for a 2L would be ample.....oval please.

But, each to their own.

No, it would be like putting an S3 badge on a non S3 car!

I'd also rather just have one big pipe each side.

...with the added caveat that we'll take the **** if you do. Probably.

That depends on the quality of the job lol

Each to there own grant, guys on here that spend half the value of there car on mods whatever makes the individual feel better about their car.....to an extent that...is
ie...l draw the line on 500 bhp from a 2-0 litre engine lol

Oh the dilemma.......
I mean I'm not in it for more power, or for more noise, I am hurting myself for not buying the S-Line.
Cheers

I wouldn't deliberately try and copy the S3 look ...but you can still get a nice looking motor with some tasty aftermarket exhaust kits

This seems to be what comes standard in the US.I'm sure it could be done with your car ?
Whether it's a saloon or H/B
Or f**k what everyone else thinks and go for it with a used S3 exhaust system?

I'd go with single oval on each side. Best of both worlds, not copying the S3 but still getting you double exit.
Even a D2 Volvo R-Design has twin pipes. Couldn't give a monkeys what size engine a car has, it makes the back end more symmetrical. Got for it.

Was looking to get that one and converting in carbon fiber, but I'd also need to get quad tips. So then I was trying to find the rs3 rear as I wouldn't need to change the tips with the big ovals instead.

Can't wait to get the RS3 front bumper (stay tuned) :-D

Interesting.......interesting indeed, if you look closely the fake dual exhausts are all round, the S3 are slight ovals.

I think four pipes are already OTT for the S3 and unless you are constantly ragging it exhaust seems to come out of only two pipes !
I'd prefer two ovals - but not the size of the RS3s !

After putting 18" S-Line wheels on mine for the winter, some may think that I've stuck S3 badges and 4 exhausts on it to make it look like one.

If you're going for a single pipe each side colour matched rims & exhaust tips is an option to consider too lol !.

Hi mate. Talk about 'blast from the past ' lol
From what I gather this is a US standard type of diffuser for the A3 2.0t 8v saloon with twin single pipe exits.
This is the site I got the pic from
I have had a good look for you online and all that I can come up with is quad exit diffusers.
Hope this helps :thumbs up:

Are you able to quad exhaust an A3 Sportback? What does it involve?
I believe a member in this post has had it done to his car.
