Hello,

Im in the process of purchasing a new phone mainly because my current phone doesnt work with Audi bluetooth interface..

Im going to get a Nokia preferably as i am getting the phone through my dad's work and they only supply Nokia..

I need a phone which will work with full phone book, missed calls, recieved calls, contacts, etc etc on the DIS.

Could people please list their phones which do all the above.. Thanks

*etc etc...

Thanks

6300 works for me....but a massive decision if you want the cradle that charges as its a lot of dosh and only fits one phone.

For the N95 and some other Symbian Nokia's you need to load another program onto the handset. It loads the contacts but it's far from ideal, one to avoid IMHO.

I tried the nokia contacts app and that didn't work either. Seems to work on some N95's, but not all of them.

Oh well, it works apart from this so i'm not too bothered for now.

If you find you want to try it again there is a specific way it has to be installed.

Connecting Nokia Symbian Phones

Some of the newer Nokia phones such as the N95 use Symbian Operating System which doesn't seem to like interfacing with Car Kits in general. There is a workaround which will allow you to view contacts on your Maxidot or RNS510 if fitted.

1. Download Nokia 810 Contact Download Application for Nokia S60 3rd edition devices and install it using Nokia PC Suite.
2. Remove all pairing to the car kit from the phone.
3. Make sure Bluetooth is turned off on the phone.
4. Sit in the car with the ignition on so that the Bluetooth kit is switched on.
5. Run the Contact Download Application on the phone.
6. Follow the prompts to enable the Bluetooth and connect to the car.
7. The contacts will be transferred to the car, this may take a couple of minutes.

Sadly it doesn't provide the dialled, received and missed calls list but at least you'll have some functionality.

I have the iphone 3G working 100% fine - I get all the stuff you need on the MMi - its superb compared to the nokias I had. The bluetooth is a gem but you can still fit the audi cradle for additional charging and better signal if needed? Plus its a secure place to hold it too.

I see Audi are now launching the version officially for the 3G/3GS - but i have been using the older version without any problems - the 3G phone fits it OK and works perfectly.
