Where have all the good s4's gone? Now a good example is mega money. Always the case when ya looking for one lol

I've not got that sort of cash. Just sold a car to clear my debts. Just want something cheap :)

Its just a function of age isnt it?

For a while they were expensive to run, thirsty cars, so many owners will have bought them for a bit of speed and run them into the ground. Nowadays, the youngest is 12 years old, and the cheap ones are all ragged to death, and the tidy ones are being sold by enthusiasts who want good money for them.

Few on Gumtree. Think for this end of the market you need to do your homework, have cash ready and be prepared to travel when the right vehicle comes along. Goes without saying that this is fraught with danger. You need history, receipts (and lots of 'em) and more paperwork than your average council! Check chassis number against V5, and get a finance check on something you're likely to buy.

Check these out... opposite ends of the country, but copy looks like 'cut n paste' job. Could be pikey scammers or legit?

Audi S4 quattro 2.7 Bi-turbo wagon in Tividale, Birmingham | Used Audi for sale | Gumtree.com £2,495 (Birmingham)

Audi B5 S4 quattro 2.7 Bi-turbo. remapped. 19"mtm alloys. full dealer service history big spec in Stornoway, Na H-Eileanan an Iar | Used Audi for sale | Gumtree.com £3,500 (Stornoway)

S4 not really your best option tbh mate. Just my 10p worth

I mean cheap to buy. Running costs aren't an issue as only a weekend car. Also being a manager at a VAG specialist not worried about repair costs :)

I am looking for one too, but i DO want an Avant
expecting around the £2500 mark and don't mind fettling

The mileage would scare me off on that one ^^ but i quite like it in the yellow :)
