I'd really like to upgrade my red DIS to a full colour one and finding conflicting info through google.

Anyone here done it or know exactly what is required in terms of labour and parts?

Thanks

about £1000 !!!!
lmfao
i have looked into this and it reall really is not worth it

ah, but you forget, I'm the king of getting cheap bargains ;) LOL
Hoping if I can get a cluster for one of our local Audi scrappies, it's just a case of fitting, recoding keys maybe, and thats it?

sure enough the parts are relativly cheap, its the removing the dash and recoding thats the issue.
if you figure it out, please let me know

its a simple swap as far as removeing dash
then theres a few that will recode imm and keys
shark does it
but finding them second hand is kinda hard work

From previous reading on this subject, there was something about the mileage. First you have to get the exact cluster for your car and I'm sure if the cluster has gone over 50,000 miles then it's locked.

As far as I know Shark is the only one that can do a cluster change outside a dealer.
