what is pd im told i have a pd engine what is that i have a tdi 52 plate all i no is parts are stupidly high prices

PD stands for "Pumpe Duse" - plug that into Google and it will explain all!

so the pd is newer and in some ways better well till it goes wrong lol

Pd s are rock solid and i would take this system over any common rail system ,
you hardly ever touch a Pd engine (only the odd injector loom) but common rail diesels are terrible and if you want exspensive try some of them
as for prices of parts the Pd engine is a lot cheaper than loads of stuff these days
im afraid all cars of makes and models are exspensive to maintain diesels especially these days .

hi paul
good thanks for that always good to no when you buy some thing if its good or not.
all though for prices on parts your right just come as a shock to me when i got my maf sensor yesterday witch i got a bosh one for £72 so not bad.
buuuuttttttt also got a price for injectors and at £400 each thats a lot of money and thats trade but i no you can get them for around £550 plus too
but as long as the rest is as good as you say its all good my friend.:icon_thumright:
