VIM hack RNSE 193 for CarPlay

I am looking to get CarPlay adapter for my RNSE - for this I will need to get the video in motion hack for the RNSE - i have done some reading and to VIM hack you have to downgrade the software to an older version first. Is this possible on the 193 version of the RNSE?

Would be interesting to know if anyone has managed to do this?

Also has anyone managed to get CarPlay working with RNSE?

Is rsne touchscreen? If not surely CarPlay won’t work at all it does is mirror the phone and requires a touch screen.

Far easier to buy a aftermarket hu and have full functionality.

I know CarPlay requires a touch screen but what I meant was - mirror your screen onto RNSE - that way you could at least have google maps on your screen when driving.

but then youd need to touch your phone anyway to do anything.
think with the 800x480 6.5inch screen and lack of touch screen/voice controls id rather just use my phone on a oemmount between the vents, or as abmat says aftermarket headunit.

I have google maps on my screen as i just do what @samisnake said i put my S10e on my airvent mount and off i go , never let me down yet
