VAG-COM Fault codes

Hi,

Had a few lights come up on the dash recently so grabbed myself a cheap ebay lead and got VCDS lite. I have found a few fault codes but to me they mean nothing... I was wondering whether anyone could help me and tell me what they are and how severe? I want to replace what evers causing the faults so any advice on what i need to get would also be fantastic.
I copied the VCDS results as below:

17861 - Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 1 (G235): Open or Short to Plus
P1453 - 35-00 - -
17704 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
P1296 - 35-00 - Please Register/Activate
Readiness: 0000 0000

Address 03: ABS Brakes Labels: Redir Fail!

2 Faults Found:
01423 - Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200)
57-10 - Electric Circuit Failure - Intermittent
01423 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
27-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent

17861 is the egt sensor under the inlet manifold might be unpluged check this first its a little black box

01423 - Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200) just change mine its a underneath the steering column you can get it from TPS or Main dealers around £100-£140 pounds

clear all the faults and go for a drive. then retest. some may be old with fault already fixed
