V8 S4 tickover

Just want to ask if any other S4 owner has a "wobbly" tickover. The reve needle sits at just below 1000 rpm, but will waiver, everso slightly - is this a trait of the V8 lump? It seems to run perfectly...

You mean like a searching idle? How much is it moving? Mine doesn't at all. It sits steady as.

But my old 1.8T, post modding searched on idle, would bob about between 800-1000 rpm.

Not so much a searching idle, just a slight wobble, i.e dip, but everso slightly - hardly noticable really just me I guess being picky

No dont think mine goes up or down, perhaps on initial startup until it finds it idle but never heard it hunting up and down.....

It's stopped now.. Since I had new CP's it's steady now.. happy
