Upgrading Xenon bulbs on S3

Hi guys,

As title suggests... i have just bought some OEM facelift headlights. I would like a crisper light from the dip beam. I have seen some 6000k bulbs on ebay. Linky: Audi S3 HID Xenon 2 Replacemnet Bulbs Set D2S 6000K on eBay (end time 14-Apr-11 01:07:55 BST)

Has anyone tried these, or 8000k? I'm not very knowledgable on xenons, so any help will be appreciated!

The higher the number (colour temp) the less light it is outputting. Best to stick to 4300k or 6000k at the most if you want a slighlty bluer look. S3 lights are pretty pooh tbh, must be the design of the reflectors or something.

Yeah i would go 6000k maximum and they are very poor from the factory, have not seen a decent projector light that has a bright beam

Ahh. Fair enough 6000k it will be then. Thanks for replies. IT's just my dad used to own an Omega MV6 and the xenons on that were awesome! I have heard that the facelifts tend to have a better projection?
