Why twin, is my question and what does each one do.
and whilst you are answering which is the best non OE aerial amp.

Only asking ask as I have fitted a Ying Yong Sat Nav with rubbish aerial amp supplied, AM is non existent and only about 6 FM stations can be picked up.

I tried a few different aerial amps but nothing worked very well!

If your fitting an aftermarket radio then you might need to feed phantom power, hence why you have crap reception. Most german cars supply +12v down the antenna wires to power the antenna amps in the glass. So if you replace the standard stereo with an aftermarket you may have to inject +12 down the antenna wire to power the amp.

They are available on ebay for around 10 - 15 quid. But of course it would be best to find one with fakra connectors.
