I'm getting fed up of looking for my printout of the reset instructions every few months, so for those without the TPMS switch I've parred the instructions down to the bare bones and saved them both as an image & a .txt note, so they're always in the car with me when my computer is.

TPMS Reset

Reset TPMS via VCDS:

With the ignition ON, Engine Not started

Select: 03 ABS Brake.

Select: Basic Settings - 04

Select: Group field

Key in: 042

Select: Go

Select Done, Go Back

Exit: VCDS, Turn Ignition off, Wait 1 second, turn Ignition On, TPMS should illuminate and extinguish after 1 second.

Initially it will report tyre deflation of around 10 psi or higher, but after 5-600 miles the system will be able to warn of a tyre deflation of as low as 4-5psi

Hope this helps someone.

I always forget the numbers to put in to reset.............:) Shame the switch and looms or part numbers are not readily available.

Cheers Dan

Sorry buy can't you do it without VCDS? In my polo gti I just hold the button for a few secs with ignition on but engine off

It's for those that didn't have the system installed from the factory & enabled it via VCDS without a button. :)
