Terrible hiss from speakers in words with “S”.

I listen to a lot of speech/audiobooks in the car. All words with an s or ch come out with a horrible hiss/sibilance. I’ve tried turning the bass up and treble down but nothing makes a difference. Has anyone experienced this and if so is there a solution?

I would tend to agree if it didn’t also occur with pre-recorded CDs and the radio.

Radio is of variable quality but it's weird that CDs are the same. Not something I've experienced tbh - the setup in the S1 isn't amazing regardless of which system is fitted but it's reflected in aspects other than hiss.

Out of interest, which system do you have? Basic, Audi Sound System or Bose?

Just the basic sound system.

My car was built late 2017 and had the same setup (since upped it to Audi Sound). Very odd.
