Hi,
I had my car serviced by a non vag specialist and when I got home I reset the service indicator by pushing the buttons on the dash. The next time I drove the car the steering was heavy, power assistance was still there but it felt like the servotronic wasn't kicking in. I switched off the ignition and reset the service indicator again and the steering sorted itself. It has been ok for 200 miles but I am a bit worried that this could happen again.
Also I went to open the cab hood and it now only pops open a couple on inches. from other threads it looks like it could be a dirty motor which I'll have a go at cleaning over the next few days. Just seems like a bit of a weird coincidence, does anyone have any experience of this?
