Does the same 'Tourist' setting apply to S3 headlights as for the RS4 advice given by PetrolDave (9Jul - Headlights in Europe)

A link would've been handy

If you mean can you change the beam to a flat beam by the use of a Vag.com on a car with xenons then yes.

My dealer changed my A3 Sportback Bi-Xenon headlights for use in Europe using their VAG 5051 compter equipment. When it's in 'Europe' mode a warning comes up on the DIS so that you don't forget to have them changed back.

I assume that, as I've been using the same dealer for all my A3s over the past 10 years, they did not change anything for this service.

A3 is also a neutral beam pattern on Xenons; so you do not need to adujust them for Continental Driving.

No it's not. Otherwise it'd fail MOT for a start. And a host of EU regulations.

I agree, the Bi-Xenons on my A3 have the normal assymetric beam pattern and have to be changed for continental driving. My dealer did this and it produces a flat top beam.
