S3 actuator...worth it or not??

As title sais really what does an actuator do and is it worth getting one?

It been offered a forge recircualtion valve for my s3 aswel as a actuator so just gauging information as to if it's actually worth having one or not?

You don't need anything other than the one the car comes with.

It's the device that opens the internal wastegate on your cars turbo.
