Hi guys,

I don't know if this has been answered already somewhere but I wanted to know of anybody has retrofitted a automatic boot on a A6 Avant? Is it straight forward?

Thank in advance

Danny

Yes i have done it and its not difficult to do. Mainly removing panels and running wires.

Is there any specific parts required or a parts list needed somewhere?

List wise you would need:
Pair of motors, control unit, wiring loom, gas struts, locking motor, tailgate switch. I take it you have a 2011-2013 model if it hasnt got the auto boot as standard. Pre and post facelift motors and its ecu are different as are the wires.
If you want to do the full retrofit then you will add the auto retracting load cover; so you would add some D pillar trims, drive unit with cables and again more wiring. Luckily the same parcel shelf can be reused.
