Retro-fitting DIC & Cruise control

My car doesn't have the full Drivers Information Display (just shows the range in miles), nor does it have cruise control.

I have seen companies offering retrofit cruise control, is it possible to retrofit the Information Display stuff too?

If so, what's involved?

You are right about cruise control - its easy to fit if your car has drive by wire throttle. DIS on the other hand is much harder to fit - you need a new instrument cluster (£500?) plus a new stalk and wiring...

There is a guy who has very good feedback on ebay who will retro fit cruise for about £200. This compares to £325 from a dealer.
Never seen any second hand DIS units though !!

They have enabled DIS just with a new stalk & without a new cluster, but I am not sure what functionality if any is missing over the factory fitted DIS.

I've just had cruise fitted by an Audi dealer it cost about £250 all in. I was quite impressed with this price???

They did a full valet of the car as well!!!
