Rear Window Heater

Hi,

Does anybody know whether the rear window heater should switch itself off or not. Left mine on for about an hour this morning before noticing I hadn't turned it off!

My previous 4 cars (fords and peugeots) all had this on them. Find it a bit strange that the S3 doesn't.

I think they are supposed to but saying that mine never has like you say other cars i've had did but this one i've turned off before waiting for it to do it its self.

I think it should switch itself off. The one in my A3 does after about 10 mins.

Yep mine switches itself off. Not sure how long it takes to switch off though.. You could look in the owners manual?

I believe the manual says it will turn off after 10 mins

I dont think mine does, but then again, maybe I switch it off before it gets a chance to.
